If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. America As A Native American Woman

Finely executed image of America as an exotic and sensuous Native American woman, drawn by Jules Antoine Vauthier in Paris and engraved by Noel Francois Bertrand.

Vauthier's work offers a striking allegorical rendition of America in the form of a Native American princess in a embellished and Europeanized indigenous costume. The "Indian Princess" as a representation of America would proliferate in early 19th-century popular imagery, and even appear on United States coinage. Drawn from the waist up, she wears a headdress and with an exposed breast.
