Description

A striking example of this interesting map of the Southwestern United States, Republic of Texas and Mexico.

Texas is in its large Republic configuration, but without a stovepipe. At least 2 dozen place names in Texas.

Upper or New California includes the mythical rivers extending from San Franscisco Bay toward Salt Lake, although the second lake below Salt Lake beginning to disappear.

The Missions in Uper California are named and the detail along the Colorado River is excellent. The Gila is erroneously showing flowing into the Gulf of California.

Colorado's first overhead chair lift, at Pioneer Ski Area along Cement Creek near State Highway 135, is marked as "Chair lift— Winter sports area."
