Description

Pictorial map by Charles Berry featuring vignettes of dances of the Americas published by Standard Oil of California for their Peabody Award-winning radio program Standard School Broadcast. Belize, renamed in 1973 after becoming a self-governing colony in 1964, is still "British Honduras". Various regional dances, including Paraguay's bottle dance, Peru's Huayno, Hawaii's Hula, and Cuba's rumba, are included, as well as Ukrainian dance in Canada and the Highland Fling on the east coast of North America.
