Oregon Territory and Upper California in 1849

Interesting early map of the West, at the time of the California Gold Rush.

Includes nice detail in California and along the Columbia River and Rio Colorado River. Pre-Gadsden Purchase Border.

The map pre-dates the creation of Utah Territory and Washington Territory.  The border for New Mexico Territory pre-dates the Compromise of 1850, which established the border between Texas and New Mexico Territory.

A note in the Pacific states that Navigation of the Columbia River is free to all British Subjects.
