Description

Decorative tourist pictorial map of Haifa, including vignettes of major structures which existed at the time of printing.

Oriented to the northeast, the map emphasizes visual representation of Haifa's urban landmarks.

Key areas of interest in the map include its thoroughfares, neighborhoods, and significant structures. Green spaces are distinguished through pictorial depictions. The port area shows ships at the quay, and nearby, including sailboats in the Mediterranean waters, near the Casino Bat Galim.

The verso also presents the Israel Institute of Technology, highlighting its buildings. Additionally, it contains a map of the historic city of Akko (or Acre), north of Haifa, across Haifa Bay. While Haifa's depiction leans toward its modern attributes, Akko is represented through its historical features like ancient walls and the Crusader citadel.
