1. The Storm Regions of the West Indies Showing the Tracks of various Hurricanes. Here, the paths of 13 hurricanes that hit the Caribbean and East Coast from 1780 to 1835 are shown, including the September 1821 storm (VIII) that hit New York City.

3. Tracks of the Madras Storm, 1842 and the Rodriguez Hurricane, 1843, from Observations by Mr. Piddington & Mr. Thom. The track of the Rodriguez storm is after a chart from Alexander Thom's An Inquiry into the Nature and Course of Storms in the Indian Ocean South of the Equator and the path of the Madras storm is after a storm tracked by Henry Piddington in "An Eighth Memoir on the Law of Storms in India," published in the Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal; both used ship logbooks.
4. Hurricanes of the N. Hemisphere [and] Hurricanes of the S. Hemisphere.
5. Chart of the Culloden's Hurricane, 1809, and the Boyne's Gale, 1835, by Lieut. Col. W. Reid, R.E. These two storms were tracked by Reid, also using logbooks, in his book An attempt to develop the law of storms by means of facts.
6. Limits of the Trade Wings & Calms in the Atlantic Ocean between Longitude 20°E. & 80° W. as determined by the Wind & Current Charts of Lieut. Maury, U.S.N.
