Most of the map is stipple-engraved in greyscale, showing areas of rain worldwide, with deserts in white. Lines demarcate the limits of where snow falls and the district of monsoon rains. The Intertropical Convergence Zone is noted as receiving "almost Constant Precipitation," with "Electrical Explosions." Equatorial rains are noted as rarely happening at night. An inset map is dedicated to showing the trade winds, monsoonal seasons, and rainfall of India.
