Interesting pictorial advertising map of Billings, Montana, published by Treasure State Maps, under a license from Fiesta Cartoon Maps.

The map presents a lively look at Billings in 1988, filled with local business advertising, 

The artist is identified as Karl Dowhie (1946-2009).  Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he United States Air Force, including a stint as a Vietnam, before moving to Arizona where Dowhie obtained his MFA in Education from Arizona State University. Following this academic milestone, Dowhie delved into an extensive teaching career that included appointments at Arizona State University, Phoenix College, and Chandler High School.

He was also one of the founders of the Tempe Center for the Arts, serving as its first Director in 1981.

He is credited with at least two pictorial maps, Billings, Montana and Westport, Connecticut.
