Rare United Kingdom War Office Topographical Section map of Afghanistan published immediately after the conclusion of the Second World War.

The map was originally made by the War Office in 1905, with this edition updated to 1947.

The map shows contested borders between Afghanistan and Iran and Iran and Baluchistan.

The map's key provides a detailed description of railroad lines by gauge and completion.

Rarity

OCLC records editions of 1905 and 1918, though none of 1947. The 1905 edition is by far the most common, though still scarce.

Toning in the upper-left quadrant. Some wear and separation along folds.
