The following article appeared in the Anaconda Standard on May 6, 1915:
Although purchased in May, 1913, from the Daly estate, the Daly addition and Daly annex to the city of Butte were not transferred until yesterday, when a deed was filed with the
county clerk and recorder, conveying 74 blocks of land to the Daly Addition company. The transfer is one of the largest to be recorded for several months. The consideration is not set forth in the deed and the secretary of the company declined to make it public, Real estate men say that not less than $100,000 is involved, however. The land conveyed surrounds the race track and since its purchase from the estate about half the lots have been sold,
