Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. A Friendly Map of Mt. McKinley National Park.

Nice vintage pictorial map of Mt. Denali from the Golden Age of American pictorial mapping.

The map is lively and fun, with Denali in the lower left and various figures, including moose, the midnight sun, bears, miners, and trappers. The roads through the park and the nearby Alaska Railroad are shown.

An inset shows all of Alaska and the relative heights of the great mountains of the world appear below. The verso of the map includes photographs and copious text regarding the Park. The map was drawn by Harrison Lucas and published by Mt. McKinley Tourist & Transportation Co.

Rarity

The map is scarce. We trace three institutional copies (University of Alaska, University of Minnesota, and Rumsey). We do not find additional examples having appeared on the market.
