Description
The Scenic Short Line to the City of Mexico
Scarce Railroad map of Mexico and Texas, published for the National Railroad Company of Mexico.
Within Texas, a number of railroad lines are shown in red connecting to the National Railroad via Laredo.
The map is executed in the characteristic pictorial style of the first two decades of the 20th century, which relied on a stylized-realism rendition of topography and ground cover, blending the border between map and bird's-eye view.
