Fine example of De Belleforest's rare antique woodcut bird's eye view of Nimes, from his Cosmographie Universelle De Tout le Monde.

De Belleforest borrowed heavily from his contemporaries in composing the images for his Cosmographie. Most notably he copied Ortelius, Munster, and Braun & Hogenberg.
