Description
Scarce vintage pictorial bird's-eye view of Nantucket, Massachusetts, by Henry W. Royster, published in 1973.
A central view of the town focused on Main Street is illustrated with pictorial representations of various local buildings and businesses. The main image is flanked by inset panels of historic buildings and a map of the Island of Nantucket "Settled in 1659".
The map was published in two editions, one on this yellow-tinted paper and another on light cream-colored paper. The map is rare on the market, though we see an example having sold at auction for €1,500 in 2019.
