Finely old color example of Luffman's map of the island of Corfu.
The text at the bottom notes:
Corfu, anciently Depante, Scheria, Phoeacia & Crcyra is situated in the mouth of the Gulf of Venice, in the Mediterranean Sea. It was taken from the Venetians, by Buonapart in 1798, & by the Turks & Russians in 1799 . . .

Maps by John Luffman are very scarce on the market, this being the first time we have had this one.
