A Rare Modern Map Projection
Rare separately published chart of the World on an Azimuthal Equidistant projection, published by the United States Air Force.
The chart includes an explanation of the use of an azimuthal equidistant chart, with smaller charts centered on Tokyo and London. The projection is designed so that a straight line from the central point on the map to any other point gives the accurate distance between the two points.
