Early survey of the Central portion of California, published in the early days of the California Gold Rush by the U.S Topographical Engineers.

The map covers the area from north of Santa Barbara to Monterey Bay and east to the Sierras, showing Tule & Tache Lake, the ancient lake, road to Los Angeles, Walker's Pass, San Luis Obispo and the rivers flowing west from the Sierras.

Coastal towns named include Monterey, Carmel,  San Luis Obispo, Paso de Robles, Santa Margarita, San Miguel, Soledad, Buneavista and San Lorenzo.

Fresno is Warsaw.
