American World War II Aeronautical Map of Eastern Asia.

Westernmost 4 sheets this scarce map of East Asia and the North Pacific, published in Washington, under the direction of the Chief of Engineers by the Army Map Service.

The focal point of the map is to illustrate the distance in air miles between major points in the region, with Tokyo, Okinawa, Saipan, Peleliu (Palau),  Manila, Shanghai and Singapore illustrated as the major hubs.

The map is color-coded by elevations.

All sheets are marked "For use by War and Navy Department Agencies only | Not for sale or distribution".

Condition Description
4-sheet map, unjoined. Small, clean loss from the lower right corner of the southwest sheet, just affecting the neatline.
