Rare Pictorial Minnesota Map - "Me For Minnesota Where the Climate is Perfect!"
Attractive and positive (!) pictorial map of Minnesota published by A. L. Langwith in Minneapolis in the 1930s.
The map features cartoon characters spouting upbeat and humorous sayings about Minnesota. Above the title is a long list of Minnesota's impressive economic statistics in the 1930s, and at the bottom of the map is a chronological set of historical scenes featuring important events and figures in Minnesota history (e.g., Radisson, Marquette, Hennepin, J.J. Hill, Carver, etc.)
The Minnesota Historical Society has a copy digitized online. Apparently, there is at least one variant of the map, though this is the only edition that we have seen.
