You May Be A Stranger But To Us You Are A Friend
A marvelous promotional map of Butte, Montana, published by the Butte Chamber of Commerce.
The promotional material includes a lovely marriage of graphics and photographs. The local economies reliance on the mines is quite clear.
There were several things which made this a particularly interesting object:
- Large Bus Route Map -- Apparently pre-dating the Auto Industry's decimation of rapid transit in the west.
- Red X's in point of interest -- Its quite unusual to see the first two points of interest eliminated by use of overprinting. Moreover, the thought of visitor tours through working mines and an Anaconda Smelting facility is a great ephemeral reflection of the times.

Minor discoloration at folds. Bus route map is 16 x 20.5 inches
