The map was conceived by Curtiss Pruett and notes that it was distributed by the Texas Power & Light Company.

The artist is noted as Guy F. Cahoon.

The map of Texas, including cities, roads, wildlife, and historic events, is surrounded by portraits of icons Stephen F. Austin, Mirabeau B. Lamar, Anson Jones, Colonel Fannin, Ben Milam, Col. David Crockett, Col. William B. Travis, Deaf Smith, and General Sam Houston.

Officially endorsed by the Texas Centennial Commission.
