Description

A Rare Meteorological Broadside

Award winning broadside image by F.X. Meissionnier, illustrating celestial and meteorological phenomenon, printed by Lagier-Fornery of Avignon for the author.

At the center is a model showing the phases of the moon, surrounded by additional phenonmenon. At the outermost part of the printed image, there are illustrations of the 12 signs of the zodiac.

The image is the work of F.X. Meissonnier, who is identifed as a Professor of Meteorology and Member of the Scientific Association of France and Astronomy Society. The broadside is noted to have received an Honorable Mention awarded by the Drome Agricultural Committee.

Rarity

Condition Description
A number of vertical repaired tears and minor cracks. The whole backed with some minor marginal loss of paper at the edges.
