Description

One of the most interesting English language maps of the Western US of its time. Shows the region west of the Mississippi. The map includes several inaccurate borders, most notably the California border which gives California a large chunk of western Nevada and the oversized Idaho.

The map is exceptional in its treatment of the topographic detail of the western mountains. Includes early roads in the west. One Dakota shown. Wyoming is very inaccurate. Overall, an excellent and highly detailed post Civil War map.
