"The Colorado Road" -- "The Colorado & Southern Lines 1915"

Detailed engineers' map of the routes of the Colorado Southern Railway, centered on Colorado, prepared by the Chief Engineer's Office on January 1, 1912.

The map gives a remarkable accounting of the many train lines and railway stations along the major routes.

The map extends to Orin Junction and Cheyenne Wyoming in the north, Grand Junction, Colorado in the west and Ft. Worth Texas in the South, providing a meticulous description of the many railroad lines serving the mining and agricultural regions shown on the map.

The inset maps provide descriptions of the routes and mileage for a number of different carriers, including:

  • Colorado and Southern
  • Fort Worth & Denver City Railway
  • Colorado Springs & Cripple Creek District Railway
  • Witchita Valley Lines
  • Colorado Railroad
  • Denver and Interurban RR

A legend notes that Black indicates where maps and profiles are considered insufficient with valuation map order.
