Description

Rare separately issued map of San Francisco Bay and contiguous parts of the East Bay and the City of San Francisco, published by the US Coast & Geodetic Survey.

The map extends north to include much of Marin County, up to San Rafael and Pt. San Quentin and Ballenas Bay.

The map includes a table of Authorities, listing 5 maps relied upon for the current map, along with a table of light houses and signal stations, buoys, tides and soundings. Excellent topographical and geographical information included.

The chart is very rare, having appeared only once in AMPR over the past 30 years. We note that Harvard holds a revised 1889 edition.
