Description
Scarce map of San Diego, showing the land offered to the United States Congress for a military post on Point Loma in 1891.
The map shows the full extend of San Diego Bay and identifies a number of parcels of land available to the Military, within the City of San Diego. A number of these sites did in fact wind up becoming military bases in and around the City.
The map is rare on the market, this being only the third copy we have seen between 1991 and 2012.
