Rare map of the eastern United States, Florida, the Gulf Coast and the Caribbean from Robjin's Zee Atlas ou Water Wereld, one of the great rarities among 17th Century Sea Atlases. The map is based upon Hessel Gerritz's map, with substantial updates. T Marvelous projections of Florida, the Gulf Coast and the Caribbean in original color. Robijn worked actively with Seller, Roggeveen and others during the time period. An outstanding collector's map. A bit of repairs to the fold on the left corner, with bit of reinforcement and facsimile, but not detracting from the overall quality of the image. Massive inset of Curacao. A nice example of a map which rarely appears in commerce.
