Description

Stunning full color example of Andriveau-Goujon's wall map of the United States.

This is a rare uncut example of the map, which was apparently bound into Andriveau's Atlas Choix, a rare elephant folio composite atlas. Unlike later editions of the map, the Territory of Colona appears, predating the appearance of Colorado. Similarly, an oddly misprojected Idaho appears, but is called Shoshone. Massive Nebraska runs to the Canadian Border. Arizona is below New Mexico. Many early roads, forts and Indian Tribes noted in the west.

An exceptional clean example of this highly desireable map and essential item for Colorado, Idaho and Western collections. Only the second example of the map we have seen in 15 years.
