Description

Large format double hemisphere map of the world, in attractive wash colors. Celestial model at the bottom of the map. Shows massive Louisiana Territory and a very primitive c.1820 single cordillera treatment of the Rocky Mountains. Much of of the coastline of Australia is still not well defined. Alaska (Russian America) is still outilined in a primitive fashion. Minor discoloration at one fold, but a nice example.
