Gorgeous map of the Mediterranean, one of the most decorative of the period.
The present example is the Covens & Mortier edition, pre-dated by at least 2 editions, an edition dated 1694 with the name Covens & Mortier and an earlier proof state, where the the word "Mediterranean" in the title cartouche is spelled incorrectly and the words above and the numbers below the 3 scales of miles at the bottom of the map are omitted.
