Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Shipping rates are provided as part of the checkout process.

Description

Scarce map of the United States, published in London.

The map includes several curious Territories and configurations:

Texas is shown in its pre-1850 configuration, before the Compromise of 1850 set the state boundary with New Mexico.
Iowa is oddly shaped.
There is no Minnesota Territory (created in 1849), but a large Dacota Territory is shown.
Nebraska Territory is shown (created in 1854).
Unusual Western Territory.

Were it not for Nebraska, we would have assumed the map was published in about 1848-50.

Moderate foxing and offsetting.
