Tsar Liberator

Interesting mid-19th-century lithograph depicting Alexander II, Emperor of Russia.

In the portrait, he is adorned in a military uniform with considerable detail, indicative of his high rank. The uniform is richly decorated with epaulettes, medals, and ribbons, showcasing a variety of colors and textures that signify his military achievements and status.

Notably, Alexander II was known for his modernizing reforms and is often called the "Tsar Liberator" for his emancipation of the Russian serfs.
