Rare large late 19th Century map of Barcelona and environs, published in Barcelona by Francisco Puig.

The map captures the growth of Barcelona in the second half of the 19th Century, and is dated 1896, one year before the city absorbed six surrounding municipalities and the new district of the Eixample (literally "the extension") was laid out.

The map highlights Barcelona's street car lines, each of which is numbered and shown in red.
