Description

First Complete Edition, First Issue.

This is the first complete edition and the last lifetime printing of Bacon's essays in his lifetime.

The Essayes or Counsels, Civill and Morall by Bacon is a collection of essays that cover a wide range of topics related to personal conduct, practical wisdom, and public affairs. First published in 1597 and expanded in subsequent editions, the essays are notable for their concise, aphoristic style, and profound insights into human nature and the workings of society. Bacon's work blends philosophical reflection with pragmatic advice, making it a seminal contribution to the development of English prose and the essay as a literary form.
